On the 24th July 2014 The King Sun DVD was launched in Melbourne to coincide with the opening of John Olsen’s art exhibition at the Metro Gallery. Barry Fitzgerald owner of Metro gallery, generously organised a private screening of the film at the Village Gold Class cinema at the Jam Factory.

The cinema had reclining sofa seats separated by tables complete with glasses of Moet.

On the 25th June, Metro Gallery held an exhibition of John’s paintings and launched a book of Olsen’s drawings by Ken McGregor and the DVD of The King Sun.
